The Listen Project

The 'Listen' project is all about making connections. From the stories we hear when we're tiny to the Shakespeare we read for our GCSEs, there are stories all around us and they all connect.
When we hear the simplest tales about the beginning of the world we're already on the pathway to wrapping our heads around the Big Bang theory.Â
Here at Gateacre we're trying to create links between the simple stories we all know and the complex ideas we're introduced to at school. There's plenty of research to suggest that even the simplest of stories create building blocks in our understanding, making each step on our learning journey that much more possible. Each collection of readings explores a set of linked ideas, growing from the simple to the complex.Â
By listening to what we may have already heard, we begin the process of understanding what we could only imagine!
