Headteacher's Newsletter 9/9/19

Dear Parents and Carers,

This is my first formal Newsletter as Headteacher and I would like to thank you all for your efforts to ensure that our students came to school on time and in immaculate uniform.  To quote a colleague, ‘this is the smartest start of term’ she can remember.

Gateacre School is a warm and friendly school supported by warm and friendly parents.  The past has seen the school faced with a number of difficult issues.  All members of the school community worked with you and your children to ensure that those issues were addressed.  As a result, Gateacre School is now in a very different place.  I would like to continue working with parents, colleagues and students to ensure that the school continues to grow and develop, building on the sound and secure foundations already in place, whilst remaining that focal point for the community as a whole.

We will continue working with you on maintaining the high standards of uniform evident last week; upholding our approach to Politeness, Honesty and Hard work whilst retaining our continual focus on attendance.

I look forward to meeting you in the near future as we work together to ensure that Gateacre School becomes an even greater school.

Mr Jones
