Starting secondary school is an exciting milestone, and at Gateacre, we support every Year 7 student to transition confidently, build strong learning habits, and begin their journey of academic and personal growth. Our Year 7 curriculum is carefully designed to help students settle into secondary school life, revisit and build on key concepts from primary school, and develop core skills across all subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Languages, Arts and PE. Through engaging lessons, dedicated pastoral support and a wide range of co‑curricular activities, Year 7 students develop curiosity, resilience, independence and confidence. We aim to foster a love of learning and ensure all learners feel safe, motivated and ready for success as they progress through Key Stage 3 and beyond.
