Gateacre Baccalaureate

THE GATEACRE BACCALAUREATE

Entry into the Sixth Form marks an exciting bridge between school and adult life. Launching in 2026, the Gateacre Baccalaureate will provide the structure to balance independence with guided development, ensuring every student emerges confident, resilient and ready for the future.

The Baccalaureate centres on four key pillars:

  1. Academics – Your A Level studies, the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), and enrichment opportunities that cultivate a genuine love of learning and intellectual curiosity.
  2. Skills for Life – A dynamic co-curriculum that develops essential personal and professional skills, from teamwork and communication to financial literacy and creative problem-solving.
  3. Service and Leadership – Engagement with the community through volunteering, activism, and leadership roles within the school and beyond.
  4. Making the Leap – Comprehensive preparation for life after Sixth Form, including university and apprenticeship support, career guidance, and mentorship.

This holistic framework will empower every Gateacre student to develop their strengths, evidence their achievements, and chart a confident path towards adulthood.
